Well I wanted to drop a quick update on things. Life has been crazy these past few months then again when is it not crazy. We have just finished a lengthy move still in the ATLANTA area but moved more out in the country so to speak, so I can turn it up REAL LOUD!
Moving the studio took what seemed like forever because as my wife says “Even my wires have wires?!” Then to have to try to remember how to recalibrate everything to fit your new location but I dig it. I like this space here for it gives me a bit more room and a totally different ambience something I have not experienced like in years. I cannot wait to see and hear what comes out of it. It is amazing what a little candle light and LED lights can do especially with some exotic incense and blacklight posters. Well maybe not the black light posters but you get the vibe. I will poste some pictures here soon once I find the time to take a few.
One thing during the move that was a drag was the fact that I had cut my hands several times with razor blades and boxes along with other health problems made the process more lengthly than usual but we made it and we are on the road to recovery as they say. I never really found out who THEY were yet but when I do I will let you know.
I also have had some great successes as of late with a lot of my music finding placements with in a load of TV shows and cable shows that have been airing on A&E, Bravo, NAT GEO and a few others. I cannot tell you how thankful I am for several production clients and libraries that do all the hard work in finding these placements and the people who dig my music thank you for the support.
I am still working on trying to sort things out with some past clients as well with regards to some Coca cola adds, GM and Microsoft but we are moving forwards and trying to leave the past behind. Forging NEW relationships and building NEW bridges to the future. I am thankful for all of you with whom I have had the joy of working with this past year. it has beena joy to work with all of you to create new music, to find new places to promote the music to bodly go where no man has gone, no wait that is a TV show, at any rate you got the picture.
If you are new to this website and new to my music and vision I say hello and thank you for tuning into this craziness. welcome, I hope I get the chance to make a lot of music with many of you over this coming year and I trust that you listen to my music and decide to send in some of your music for consideration.
I will write another blog later to share more info with you but I wanted to start the year out with a statement of trust and faith for a better year than last. I trust your hearts grow stronger and your vision gets clearer and your dreams become a reality this new year. STay in touch and stay connected. ROCK on to some of the music you find here, I also have several videos and commercial links as well.
If I can help anyone find the music for their production I would be more than happy to help you all yo have to do is share with me what your worrking on.

A few thoughts for this blessed season. I thought I would share these for you to maybe help you put things in perspective. This is a few thoughts i posted on my facebook page and thought I would share them with you as well. Merry Christmas to all of you.
Mary and Joseph both had the revelation come to them in a miraculous way of the part in the greatest story ever told. She was a young woman who was but a teenager yet she was a very mature one at that. He had to make the choice to marry her even though she was with child imagine that times are no different than today remember that. She was a virgin who had become pregnant and said, it is GOD who made it…alright then maybe we need some therapy would be an answer yet He believed her story.
They both heard the revelation that their child was a special one , who would change the world. They began to do what needed to be done.
As life would happen at the appointed time they had NO place to go to have a baby…no hospital, home, friends house, clinic yet they just so happened to find a stable (in some translations,it could have been like a cave or part of one) at any rate the LORD provided WHAT THEY NEEDED not what THEY wanted perhaps. The same is still today for the trusting heart. Think for a moment the burden they both carried, the worry that flooded their heart must have been immense but we do not read about it none the less they were human beings with cares and thoughts like YOU and I.
Then they had no money no way of caring but GOD brought these dudes, from a far away place who were NOT from their neighborhood, or who they knew but they brought them gifts that provided them the means by which to support their humble family. Then the revelation comes that they need to boogy because the king at the time was trying to kill their gift to the world by killing all of the babies who were born around that time. So imagine the sorry and bloodshed of all of these children being slaughtered and slain as if they were nothing. It is hard to comprehend but I ask you to stop and take this story into your heart. It is more than just a mere card, or holiday tv special it actually happened.
Then they had to flee they had the money and way to get out of dodge. they must have been in inner turmoil thinking that surely God has a plan for us but it seems to not be happening the way we thought it would. How many times in our lives do things seem to NOT be going the way we think, yet in the end we find it has happened the way it did and it is a good thing it did.
Then after a while the heard again, time to MOVE BACK to the place where we were on the top 10 list to be killed. Not a good list to be on. Yet they did. do exactly what they were told.
So I am here trying to share withyou a simple yet profound truth that GOD is in the miraculous business. He has ways of working things out that we can never understand or comprehend. So why do we try?> Why do we spend the hours in worry or stress because we are trying to figure out something that can only be understood when looking at it from a KINGDOM perspective.
During this holiday season remember these folks were regular peole like you and me charged with a great burden they could have bailed out at any time, yet they did not. I marvel that Mary trusted her husband and vise versa. Do you? They BOTH looked to GOD for their help and found in each a love beyond this earth, They found in there journey a love that defies explanation
There is so much more to all of this that it melts my head to try to plumb the end of this story. SO in our life time remember that they had the same choices as we do basically to believe or not believe to trust or NOT to trust. The world and their lives were better off for choosing to trust in GOD and I hope that after reading this long but humble letter you will find strength to face yet another holiday with out your loved one, that you will find encouragement to believe the unbeliveable to hope in GOD against all circumstances to say in your heart that although all is dark around me I will still put my hope in GOD.
Be encouraged and may I add to all my friends and strangers alike a very merry Christmas and may you chose to hope in GOD like these two people did so many years together.
Brand partnerships are increasingly important to artists and record companies, not merely as a source of revenue, but also as a way of positioning performers and introducing them to new audiences, says the IFPI in its Investing In Music report.
“The right placement with the right brands can really help an artist,” says Andria Vidler of EMI Music. “Artists such as Professor Green and Eliza Doolittle made money before their first albums were released, and their brand partnerships helped position them with fans. Now Pro Green is an iconic British urban act that is looking to go global, and brand partnerships were part of the mix to help him achieve that. The Puma deal is not accidental.”
“My relationship with Puma UK continues to grow and develop, but of late I’m seeing increasing interest from outside the UK,” says the artist. “From my side, it increases my international exposure and allows me to enter markets I may not have the opportunity to do so regularly.”
However, Vidler points out that he rejects as many deals as he accepts. “We wouldn’t sign a branding deal just for the money. If it’s not right for the artist’s career, it’s just not worth it.”
And in France, when Shy’m won Dance Avec Les Stars and a NRJ Music Award, a lot of brands became very interested. “We signed a deal with Yot, the watch company, and Shy’m became a brand ambassador and worked with them to create Shy’m branded watches,” says Antoine Gouiffes-Yan of Warner Music France. “She has been fully involved in the deal and engaged creatively. We weren’t interested in signing deals with brands that just wanted to use her image.”
Where music meets licensing, there’s money to be made. How much money? We have all read about the multi-million-dollar deals for icon bands like the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin, but what about the money for the rest of us?
“I have synched quite a few thousand songs into productions over the years,” states Peter Jansson of Janssongs, “and have charged anywhere between $1.00 and $250,000 (U.S.) for each one.”
There are a great many places to earn money from music. For example, there are more TV shows on more cable channels than ever before. There are all kinds of commercials for both TV and WEB. There are tons of electronic games and toys. There are corporate video productions galore. There are big movies, little movies, and direct-to-DVD movies. Never mind an almost endless amount of online opps to find places to get your jams And they all are potential places to put your music, if the rights can be cleared.
So this is just the beginning as you can tell there is a lot more going on here than just a few folks getting music placed. If you work hard at trying to get it out there. If you work hard at making good music, show people your willing to work with them there is almost no telling what may happen. One thing you have to do is try and keep working at it.

Thank you for your support and helping, also please continue to share the music. The MERCH store is almost ready to go as well.
There are many ways to help advance your career if you want to. Many people are waiting for OTHERS to do it for them but the truth is NO ONE CARES more about YOUR music than YOU! I cannot begin to tell you about how many artist and bands approach me wanting to be FAMOUS or what ever but are doing absolutely NOTHING about trying to achieve their goals.
I wanted to maybe share a few ideas that may help you in your endeavors.
To earn a good living in the music industry, you MUST develop a specific plan for how you will reach your goals. If you merely fantasize about making a lot of money, this is not enough to make this goal a reality. Rather than fantasizing, start working toward what you want to achieve by asking yourself the following questions:
- What are you doing to build your music career?
- What are you wanting out of your musical career ?
- Who are you surrounding yourself with ?
- Where do you see yourself in 5 yrs? of 2 yrs? even in 6 months?
- How are your going to get to where you want to be?
After you have figured out your answers for each question above, you must focus on making every action you take in your music career go toward achieving the exact goals you have made for yourself.
Most musicians looking to become successful in the music business are not sure what they must do to reach their desired goals. If you are experiencing this as well, the best solution to this problem is to seek out training from a professional who has shown other musicians how to earn a lot of money in their careers. This way, you can avoid making mistakes that will cost you significant time and effort to fix.
If you are looking for information on how to start your journey, or looking for help to build upon that which you have already started, then I would ask you to please send me an email with some info about yourself and maybe I can help.
I will write more in the days to come in the mean time take some time to think about and answer the questions about. The answer may surprise you. A lot of people just say, ” I am going to be a big star, make all kinds of money” but they do not know how to accomplish this, or who to have help them. I may not have all your answers but I feel I can help you in your journey.

WAP PUBLISHING TERMINATES MOFILM COMMERCIAL AGREEMENT
UK FILM COMPANY IN BREACH OF CONTRACT
OVER 200 POPULAR ONLINE AND BROADCAST COMMERCIALS AFFECTED INCLUDING: PEPSI, COCA COLA, CHEVROLET, BUD LIGHT,
CADILLAC, BEST BUY, AT&T, KODAK, MICROSOFT
WAP Publishing has terminated their agreement with the UK-based MoFilm as of March 2012, due to non-payment of the license fees. WAP worked with MoFilm and provided them with music for over 200 online and broadcast commercials. All of these commercials continue to exist via broadcast and digital media and are viewed globally. Almost all of these commercials are now unlicensed and their music synchronization licenses have expired or they have been revoked for non-payment.
WAP Publishing represents many individual composers like, Atlanta-based Mark Allan Wolfe. The problem grew wider when companies like: AT&T, Chevrolet, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Unilever refused to respond to any WAP correspondence notifying them of MoFilm’s lawful termination.
“We have contacted many of the 39 (primarily) US-based companies informing them months ago, how MoFilm has been terminated. We thought this proposed transference would be a simple matter. We assumed each company would handle it in an appropriate manner and respect the copyright of others, in the same way they so proudly and fiercely defend their own copyrights.
We explained how MoFilm was not paying WAP. In fact, as the licensor, all potential licenses should be contacting WAP directly. If all the brands would please contact us, WAP Publishing will gladly restructure an agreement on behalf of our songwriters/musicians”, Guy Ratcliffe/CEO WAP Publishing said.
Composer Mark Allan Wolfe said, “At first, I gave them the benefit of doubt until it amounted to be too much. If it weren’t for Guy Ratcliffe stepping in, I doubt I would have been paid anything. As payments diminished, became less frequent to then, none at all, it seemed clear, they were violating our agreement blatantly. Guy and I contacted our legal counsel Bienstock & Michael – Hackensack, NJ about the problem with MoFilm”. www.markallanwolfe.com
WAP worked with MoFilm for over two years, dating back to 2010.WAP has tried every known way to rectify this. It is with great regret that WAP has to make this an international public issue. WAP does not want to embarrass the 39 brands involved, but the indifference and non-responsive stance – encountered to date – has forced WAP to go public. For further details and to view some of the commercial videos referred to, please see our blog at www.wappublishing.com.
Here is the full list of the brands affected, totaling over 200 instances of internet and TV broadcast commercials:

As many of you who know me, I am a very mellow easy going person who loves people and hate confrontation but not afraid to go forwards when needed. After a long time of thought and trying to resolve something a certain way I feel the need to publish certain things we have been dealing with in hopes to fix things that are broken. I share this information with the hopes of building a bridge of communication and restoring relationships as well as getting paid for services rendered.
Fable of the porcupine
It was the coldest
winter ever. Many animals died because of the
cold. The porcupines, realizing the situation, decided
to group together. This way they covered and protected
themselves; but the quills of each one wounded their closest
companions even though they gave off heat to each other.
After a while, they decided to distance themselves one
from the other and they began to die, alone and frozen.
So they had to make a choice: either accept the quills of
their companions or disappear from the Earth. Wisely,
they decided to go back to being together. This way they
learned to live with the little wounds that were caused by the
close relationship with their companion, but the most
important part of it was the heat that came from the others.
This way they were able to survive.
The best relationship is not the one that brings
together perfect people, but the best is when each individual
learns to live with the imperfections of others and can admire
the other person’s good qualities.
The Moral of the story:
LEARN TO LOVE THE PRICKS IN YOUR LIFE.
For some great music to help you along your way turn onto markallanwolfe.com and explore your mind
I found this out and about a while ago and felt it to be encouraging to my heart. I was really glad that someone shared this with me and I wanted to re post it here to perhaps help you. You maybe dealing with some similar things and find this amusing. I hope that you all find encouragement today . If you dig it feel free to share it and let me know.
Pink Floyd Back Catalog
Here are a few more ideas I wanted to share with all of you. I have been thinking about all the people and composers out there who reach out to me and ask a lot of questions, so I wanted to share a few things that have helped me a long the way.
I also want to let you know I do these very things also so I am not above anything here. I really believe it. If you want it you need to go get it and work hard, NO ONE will give it to you. For starters it’s really worth while doing some research on your possible clients or potential music supervisors or film makers – looking at their previous jobs and the styles they usually work with. I find that one good place to start your search is Linked In – which also helps you see where people move to when they change jobs.
Remember that there are hundreds of other composers out there all trying to get work – what is your unique angle/what will get you remembered? What is your sound like? Did you send something unusual in the mail? did you make a funny making of video for one of your tracks – try and stand out. Marketing yourself should take at least 50% of your time…Remember NO ONE ELSE WILL!!
Do some market research before you start sending examples of your work around. Try and find out who you need to send you work to and what kind of thing they are looking for and what format they want to see it on, eg DVD, an internet link or whatever.
If you do it and try your best and faint not it will come to pass. It may take a while but if you do it and have the chops and determination eventually people will listen. It may take a long time before you are financially self sufficient to compose full time. You may have to supplement your income with other types of musical work. However if you have talent and determination it can be one of the best jobs in the world.
Feel free to share this and network with me and sign up or follow me on twitter, facebook or where ever. You never know who is listening and watching or when someone will call asking for your style of music.
